In May 2026, I had the opportunity to participate in the Hunterdon County Democratic Committee's Spring Fling event, where I interviewed public officials and community leaders about the importance of running in local elections. The goal of the piece was to communicate how younger generations can get more involved in their local communities, and to make the idea of running for office feel more approachable, even without prior political experience. I conducted the interviews, speaking with local officials and community members about their own paths into public service and the advice they'd give to first-time candidates.

From there, I filmed and edited the video from start to finish, shaping the raw footage into a cohesive, social-media-ready piece. With help from Kiely Williams, the video was finalized before being shared on HCDC's Facebook and Instagram pages. This project combined interviewing, filming, and editing with a focus on civic engagement and gave me the opportunity to use content creation as a tool to encourage real community involvement.
