Two students presenting their capstone to their peers

Eco Beauty Skincare Capstone

In the Spring 2024 semester, I completed my Advertising Capstone course. I collaborated with my classmate, Grace Mongeau, to create a fictional brand and develop a full advertising campaign. Together, we launched Eco Beauty Skincare, a clean, cruelty-free, and vegan skincare brand. We conducted extensive research focused on social media advertising and analyzed strategies used by successful brands. We created mock content and developed a media plan outlining a hypothetical posting schedule. Additionally, we managed and coordinated a fictional $10 million budget for all campaign efforts. After presenting our project to the class, we submitted it to the MADSTARS creative marketing competition.

Quinnipiac University Student Project Page Creation

In November and December of 2024, my coworker, Lia Mercure, and I were tasked by Quinnipiac University’s Department of Marketing Communications with creating and formatting web pages to showcase student projects presented at the university’s “Exploratorium” event. We received each student’s project details and media, then designed individual pages to professionally and clearly highlight their work and research. The completed pages can be viewed on the Quinnipiac University website under Experiential Learning > Student Projects.

In March 2025, my coworker, Lia, and I were tasked with researching how other universities market their MBA programs on their websites. Quinnipiac had recently updated its MBA program to be STEM-designated and introduced a flex option for students needing more flexibility with work and school schedules. The university also updated how the MBA would appear on student diplomas to reflect the new STEM designation. However, these changes did not affect the program’s content—only the designation and diploma title. Our role was to determine how Quinnipiac should communicate these updates on its website and whether additional information should be included to clearly inform prospective students. We recommended adding a section explaining the STEM designation, its impact on diplomas, and details about the flexible schedule option. These updates were implemented and can be viewed on the program’s webpage via the link below.
